What's next for BotCop 2084?
The first weekend of the ashcan release is in the books and it's gone great! That said, I've still got a couple months ahead of me in this Free Book Campaign; getting the print run finished and getting prints and digital copies in front of as many sets of eyes (or single eyes!) as possible. I'm really looking forward to it.
But, what about after that? When does the quarterly series start? This year? Next year? 2084?
Luckily, no. I actually began plotting the stories for BotCop 2084 Issue 1 this weekend and the opening story is going to be a fun one to draw! Now that I got my feet wet with producing the ashcan I can start Issue 1 (title TBD) with a lot more confidence in my craft. This means I take a bit more risks as a writer and I gotta tell ya, I'm already excited by the stories and twists I'm plotting out.
Issue 1 will release 1st quarter 2023 and will be a planned 11 stories (don't worry, BotCop will be back for a good chunk of them) spanning 32-36 pages. It's still in very early planning so I'll add as I see the need. BotCop 2084 Issue 1 will be a Kickstarter book, likely launching on the platform in January,
What else can you expect from Moxy Comic Books?
Much like BC2084 itself, Moxy Comic Books is just one person. The biggest reason for not simply branding it "BotCop Press" or something similar is that it allows me to make things for others and use my own branding without them having their work directly associated with BotCop himself.
Such projects include a mini horror comic for another creator's Kickstarter bundle launching toward the end of the year.
2023 is going to be excited at Moxy Comics...stick around for the bigger, better, and weirder things to come!
