About Eric

I assure you, I am a carbon-based swamp creature lurking in Gainesville, Fl. Almost definitely. Probably.

A lifelong fan of both superhero comics and cinema (particularly horror and science fiction), I've been drawing superheroes and monsters since about the time I discovered crayons and clean walls. As a part-time illustrator, I cut out a (very) small niche, creating commissioned art for prints, clothing, and businesses.

In 2021 I managed to wriggle my way into independent comics, illustrating a chapter in Requiem of the Crazies #3 by Rusty Cage. It was very fun and Rusty is absolutely .7 times nicer than he seems.

My art style is high contrast and varies from minimalist and expressive to heavily detailed and rendered depending on the needs of the piece. I work in a mixture of traditional and digital mediums to create full-color art, taking each piece from pencil and ink thru to digital color and lettering when needed.

I'm currently developing BotCop 2084, a science fiction property seasoned with horror elements as well as a mini-comic for a record bundle early next year.

In my off-minutes I'm also a brother, best bud, employee, and doting dog-father.

Things I will talk your ear off about:

  • Blu-rays, especially steelbooks
  • Creature features, but The Thing (1982) specifically
  • Comics in general, but I will always be an X-Man at heart
  • Steampunk. Not wearing-a-top-hat-with-goggles but the 1998 comic by...
  • Ink supplies
  • My dog
